Adobe Acrobat Fix for the RVI Viewer
Fix for Users that can’t view
in the RVI PC Client with Adobe XI.
Follow the instructions below to apply
the fix. You will be replacing acropdf.dll
with a new file. This DLL is from 11.0.06
and it will work with 11.0.07.

1. Click here to download AcroPDF.zip
2. Unzip AcroPDF.zip to extract acropdf.dll.
3. Search the PC for the file acropdf.dll
4. Rename the current version acropdf.dll
to acropdf.dllold
5. Copy the file from the zip file to that
directory
6. Test in RVI

is selected, right click on setup.exe

port number.
● Request SaveSencha.savf (base operations
code V6R1M0) from RVI support. (07/17/2017)
● Download and unzip cmnss.zip (07/03/2017)
● Download and unzip Senchafilesforcgibin.zip

Installation Process
● FTP SaveSencha.savf to RVILIB on IBMi.
● Restore SaveSencha.savf objects to
RVILIB using the following command:

RSTOBJ OBJ(*ALL) SAVLIB(SENCHA80O)
DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(RVILIB/SAVESENCHA)
MBROPT(*ALL) ALWOBJDIF(*ALL) RSTLIB(RVILIB)


● Save Senchafilesforcgibin.zip to the PC.
    ○ Unzip the file.
    ○ Copy the folders RVI and CMNSS under /CGIBIN Directory
      copy the folder PDF to the root of IFS on IBM i.

Once the SAVF is restored and /CGIBIN folders
are loaded, contact RVI support for further
setup instructions.

To test the installation and setup,
go to: http://ip:port/internet/cmn
/imageinquiry/app/index.html
which should bring up the RVI Signon screen.

NOTE: Users must be enrolled in the RVI Security/
Internet Menu. At the IBMi command line, with RVILIB
in your library list, type:
  ○ Go Image
  ○ Option 11 Security/Internet Menu
  ○ Option 7 Maintain Internet User Profiles

Mobile Application

Instructions for installation on the iSeries:

1. FTP RVISAVF.SAVF into RVILIB as
RVISAVF.SAVF

2. Display RVISAVF before restoring
RVISAVF should have 31 objects:

DSPSAVF FILE(RVILIB/RVISAVF)

3. Restore the RVISAVF objects to
library RVILIB with the following
command:

RSTOBJ OBJ(*ALL) SAVLIB
(IPADSAVF)
DEV(*SAVF) SAVF(RVILIB/RVISAVF)
MBROPT(*ALL) ALWOBJDIF(*ALL)
RSTLIB(RVILIB)

OS/400 Programs
Follow the steps below to insure a successful
PTF installation.

(Warning: Do not install if you have custom
code)

►Back up RVILIB.

►All users must exit software.

►Sign on the IBM i as QSECOFR.

  1. (02/19/2018) Download the SAVF file RVIPTFOBJ from the web to your PC, FTP it to your IBM i.
  2. Restore the contents of the SAVF into the RVI library you want to upgrade (e.g. RVILIB).
  3. Make sure the library where you restored the contents of RVIPTFOBJ exists in your library list.
  4. Issue the following command: RVINSPTF SAVF('RVI80PTF') RSTLIB('<library name>') where <library name> is the library where the contents of SAVF RVIPTFOBJ are stored. Once the PTF installer configures the virtual optical, it will execute the LODRUN command.

Alert! 5250 screen becomes input inhibited while sending out an email, or
batch email process does not end.

To fix this problem for OS 7.1,

End the SMTP Server:

and restart after applying the PTFs:
